Businesses are showing their appreciation for truckers nationwide

​​Hey Dillon team. We know that times are tough and more trying than normal, but know that our team and our nation appreciations your hard, serious work behind the wheel. And while the economy shutdown has caused numerous businesses to close their doors, there are also many who are going out of their way to show their appreciation for the trucking industry. Read more to see how you can benefit!

FOOD
Numerous restaurants are finding unique ways to help out the trucking industry. Check out the discounts and helpful services that some of your favorites are offering.
  • McDonalds developed a new online ordering app and will bring food out curbside. 
 
  • Bush’s Chicken will offer curbside service for truck drivers at all 80 of their locations. Just call in your order ahead of time and arrange delivery to your truck.
 
  • Denny’s has created a special discount code for professional drivers and offering 15% off your online order now through May 25th. Use code Driver15 online at checkout. 
 
  • Fuzzy’s is offering free chips and queso with a minimum $5 purchase. Use code: TRUCK
 
  • Long John Silvers is showing support with a 10% discount to truckers everyday of the week and a 20% discount on Thursdays. This offer is available at nearly 200 corporate locations and participating franchise locations.
 
  • Ruby Tuesday is offering 25% off to truckers on any to-go order between Noon - 8pm. When you order online enter “25” 
 
  • Cracker Barrel is offering free coffee or fountain drinks to truckers.
 
  • Texas Roadhouse is bringing to-go orders to trucks whenever possible. They ask drivers to call ahead to make sure there is room for parking.
 
  • Domino’s will deliver to truck stops.
 
ELECTRONICS & RADIO
There’s nothing better than listening to your favorite radio show or jamming out to a great song to pass the time on the road. It’s also nice to have good internet access at truck stops. Check out a couple some discount options below.
  • SirusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio is free for the remainder of May.
 
  • Comcast is offering free use of XFINITY hotspots during the crisis. Find a hotspot near you here http://wifi.xfinity.com/#find-a-hotspot. 

HOTELS & STAY
Finding a nice, clean spot to stay during long hauls is a game changer. These common rest stops are going out of their way to make sure you can recharge properly.
  • Red Roof Inn is offering a “Take a Break Truckers Rate” of $29. They stated that all participating locations have ample truck parking available as well.
 
  • Target Distribution Centers are allowing truckers to park, use the restroom and eat a meal. They have asked all of the centers to provide water, snacks and hand sanitizer free of charge in break rooms.
 
  • Love’s Truck Stops has their typical trucking services open and running. However, they are also teaming with vendors to offer truck drivers $5 e-coupons for any in-store purchases. It’s available to the first 100,000 drivers for redemption through Jun 16 via the Love’s Connect mobile app.
 
  • Pilot Flying J is keeping their showers open and cleaning after every use.
 
FACEBOOK HELP GROUPS
People are rallying around truckers to make sure they get what they need to be successful on the road. These Facebook groups provide updates and, through the help of volunteers, bring food to truckers. Click the links below to join them.
  • Meals for 18 Wheels is a Facebook group that tries to connect drivers with nearby volunteers who can help them get meals.
 
  • Feeding Truckers During Crisis is a Facebook group that provides updates on available spots for truckers to order food around the United States.
